Job Purpose
The role of a Junior HSE Officer is to assist in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environment systems across projects and the corporate office. Key Responsibilities
The Junior HSE Officer will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of HSE plans, policies, and procedures across assigned projects.
- Conducting safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Monitoring statutory compliance related to the Pollution Control Board, Factory/Building Rules, and Environment Clearances.
- Maintaining and updating critical HSE documentation such as Legal Registers, ISO records, and audit reports.
- Tracking compliance status of projects and escalating deviations for corrective actions.
- Supporting external audits including ISO, IMS, statutory, and client audits.
This role is designed to give junior professionals exposure to all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management in a large EPC company.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering OR
- B.Sc./M.Sc. with a Diploma in Industrial Safety (MSBTE or other recognized institute)
- Experience:
- Fresher or candidates with 1–2 years of HSE experience (preferably in infrastructure or construction).
- Knowledge Requirements:
- Basic understanding of HSE statutory regulations.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
