Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Manager in Fire & Safety, the selected candidate will be entrusted with multiple responsibilities aimed at safeguarding people, assets, and infrastructure. The role includes:
- Ensuring fire safety compliance across DLF Group projects in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Supporting the integration of best practices and continuous improvement in fire safety performance.
- Monitoring audit actions and compliance closures from both internal and external audits.
- Preparing periodic fire safety reports and analyses for corporate forums and senior management.
- Conducting fire incident investigations and ensuring effective corrective measures are implemented.
- Supporting business units during handover-takeover (HOTO) by overseeing system acceptance testing for fire safety equipment.
- Carrying out regular fire safety inspections and audits to ensure system readiness at all times.
- Monitoring and maintaining the fire safety training database, while minimizing gaps between required and actual training delivered to staff and contractors.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and leadership capabilities in managing fire safety across high-rise projects. The required qualifications include:
- Educational Qualification:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Fire Engineering, OR
- Membership Examination Pass from the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE, UK), OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science along with Sub-Officer Course from the National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in active and passive fire protection systems.
- Hands-on understanding of fire hydrants, sprinklers, fire alarms, suppression systems, deluge and water spray systems, smoke management, and pressurization systems.
- Knowledge of fire-fighting vehicles, fire stations, and modern firefighting equipment.
- Familiarity with codes and standards including NBC India, Indian Standards, and NFPA codes.
